Visiting a new church for the first time can be intimidating.  But it doesn’t have to be.  We love welcoming new guests and will do everything we can to make you feel at home.  Here’s what to expect when you visit NHU:

  • How Should I Dress? We dress casual and comfortable and invite you to do the same.

  • When Should I Arrive? Worship service begins at 10:30am and ends at Noon.  If you arrive before 10:30am you’re welcome to join us for coffee and donuts.  This is a great time to meet new people!

  • Where Do I Park? There is plenty of parking on site, including spaces reserved for our guests directly across from the main doors of the big building on our campus.  Accessible parking is also available near the front doors.

  • What Happens in the Worship Service?  We sing together, listen to announcements about upcoming opportunities and events, pray together and hear a message from the Bible that applies to life.  It’s easy to follow along and join in.  If you’d like to preview a service you can do so here

  • What Is the Music Like? If you listen to the K-Love radio station you’ll recognize most of our music which includes guitars, keys, drums and vocalists.  While our worship teams are talented musicians their purpose is not to put on a concert, but to lead the congregation in worship.  As our guest, feel free to sing along or just listen.

  • What is the Preaching Like?  The sermons are practical, relatable, and centered on Jesus and His message.   While they’re based on the Bible, they are designed to connect directly with your everyday life.

  • What About My Kids?  Kids of all ages are welcome to stay with you, but classes for kids age 2 – 5th grade are available during the service. After a few opening songs and announcements, we pray for the kids and release them to classes designed specifically for them.  There’s also a nursery with live streaming of the service available at all times.  If your kids go to class during service you can pick them up right after.

  • What Happens After Service?  Following the service is another great opportunity to get to know people.  We serve snacks and hang out for a while.  There’s indoor and outdoor seating and a playground for kids.  This is an informal time and there’s no pressure to stay or go.
