Sharing life in fellowship

Following Jesus means being a part of His Body, the Church. When we receive God as our Father we become brothers and sisters with all of those who God has adopted into His family. Our relationship with God is interconnected with our relationship with each other as we seek to love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. We share life with one another so we can experience the extraordinary life change that Jesus offers! It is in the context of shared life that we best learn to be disciples (followers) of Jesus Christ.

Sharing life takes many different forms.

LUNCHES & SHARED MEALS

We practice sharing meals with each other, typically, on the first Saturday of the month following our worship service to help establish a rhythm of sharing meals throughout the week. Throughout the year we also hold a number of church social events and neighborhood parties, all of which are open to the community. Our Food Services Ministry facilitates these shared meals and gives people an opportunity to Grow Together in Service as we prepare and serve food to each other.

SHARED LIFE FOR CHILDREN & TEENS

Sharing life is a life-long habit that must be intentionally instilled in our children in a culture that is prone to isolation, loneliness, and dis-connection. We instill these practices of shared meals and small group connection in our children at a very early age.

CHILDREN (AGE 2-5TH GRADE)

Each Saturday morning during the worship service we dismiss children to classes for the majority of the service. These classes are divided into 2-4 year olds, K-2nd grade, and 3rd-5th grade. This allows children to develop their relationship with God and their peers in an age-appropriate setting. Our teachers have all undergone an application process with a background check and have a passion for helping children to grow in their love for God and others. This form of shared life among our children is made possible by our Children’s Ministry.

STUDENTS (MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL)

A few times each month our Middle & High School Students will either come together in Service by packing meals and food bags at a local food pantry, in Worship at a Youth Night where they worship and grow in God’s Word and spend time intentionally growing in their relationships with God and one another, or in Fellowship at movie nights and other social activities. Throughout the year they also take part in a variety of events and opportunities for worship, fellowship, service, and connection with those outside of the Church. Our Student Ministry is growing and vibrant and we are blessed to have teens who love the Lord!
